At Financial Service Group, our goal and our pleasure is helping clients live their great life as they define it and want it to be. We look forward to hearing wonderful updates from you on how your great life is going and helping to reset, recharge, and remind you of your goals when necessary.
As hard as it might be to believe, we’re already halfway through 2026. The summer equinox is on June 21, the longest day of the year and the beginning of shorter days to follow. It’s a time of long, glorious days, hopefully spent investing in memory-making experiences that will pay priceless dividends for many years to come.
The midway point of the year is also a good time to check in on your great life goals. Are you doing the things you planned at the onset of the year? For those of you still working, are you tending to your Career Asset through networking, benchmarking, and continuous learning? For those of you either in late-life or helping loved ones during slow-go or no-go years, are you ensuring your financial house is in order and necessary tasks on your behalf or on behalf of your loved ones are being appropriately tended to? Are your estate documents in order? Are you living within your means, whatever they may be?
Your Financial Service Group advisor is committed to working with you through life transitions when and as they occur. Decisions, choices and opportunities have financial implications and we’re often able to offer insights and ideas that align your financial goals with your great life goals.
Some things you may not even consider giving us a call about. Things like buying a new or second home, getting your child or grandchild ready for college, taking a trip of a lifetime, changing jobs, remodeling your house, paying off a mortgage, making a sizeable donation to a cause that matters to you…all sorts of decisions you make every day may be areas where we might add value to your great life. Some decisions have tax implications you may not consider, others may carry penalties or other potentially negative financial consequences, still others might mean the difference between mediocre and magnificent in terms of long-paying experience dividends.
Each year at our annual review meetings we confirm or reset your financial goals as well as validate your life goals so we can help make sure both are primed and stoked throughout the year. We can help manage financial implications, so your great life is in alignment with your financial strategies going into the second half of 2026.
We are genuinely curious and interested in hearing about your lives and families and all the things that matter to you. We recognize money as an important tangible tool to help you have the life and future you want. We also recognize that life is about the intangibles as well.
Later this summer, we’ll be conducting our client report card survey in which we’ll ask clients to assess their experience working with Financial Service Group. We want to know what we’re doing well and where we might improve our value to you. We want to know what you need, want, and expect from us as your financial life partner.
The report card will be mailed to client homes sometime in July. We hope you’ll take time to help us sharpen our saws and be our best in service to you. As is our custom, we’ll be making a donation to a local charity on behalf of our clients as a show of appreciation for providing feedback. But more on that next month!
For now, the long summer days are perfect for reflecting on your goals, dreams, attitudes and beliefs. And remember while you do so that we are here to assist you when and how you need us. Reach out any time you’re in the process of making a significant financial decision. Our two cents might just be worth a whole lot more than that!
