Katie joined FSG in July as our receptionist and office assistant. Born and raised in Kenosha, Katie is currently in the school for business management, with a concentration in marketing in the online program offered through Columbia Southern University. She resides in Kenosha with her boyfriend, Trent and their newly acquired Aussiedoodle puppy, Zion.

When asked what excites Katie most about joining our team she replied “the people at FSG want to help others and the care they put into each client is something I aspire to be a part of.” Sounds like she’s off to a great start!

Prior to joining FSG, Katie held various customer-facing positions, where, in addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, she often undertook social media campaigns and other promotional efforts to help boost visibility and traffic. She’s been a store manager, a lead bartender, and account manager, and a server/hostess. She holds a bartender license and rumor has it she can mix a great cocktail.

A little more about Katie…

• Who has influenced your work ethic the most? My biggest inspiration to always work as hard as I do and strive to do better comes from my best friend, my Grandma. She has shown me what it looks like to be compassionate, caring, hardworking, and to always keep going with my best foot forward.
• If you could live in a different country for a year, which country would you choose? I have a younger brother who lives in Germany. I have been over there a few times and plan on going back again in 2025. The food is amazing, the drinks are too.
• What’s your favorite family recipe? If you asked my family what they preferred me to make they would say Korean Beef Bowls or Unstuffed Bell Peppers. If you asked me, I would say my Feta Tomato Pasta is my favorite. Cooking used to be something I dreaded but now is something I absolutely LOVE doing. I find it fun to discover new tricks that make cooking easier and learning new recipes. 
• If you could wave a magic wand and get rid of any one thing, what would it be? Bugs. Although they are great and have their place in the ecosystem, they do not need to be close to me. Katie’s least favorite bug? Spiders, roaches, and beetles. Oh my!
• If you were in the summer or winter Olympics what sport would you want to compete in? I would compete in both Basketball and Figure Skating. Two very different sports, both were huge parts of my life. Figure Skating I did competitively for years when I was a kid, I still occasionally go to the rink to skate. It is a dream to own fake ice blocks to skate on in my basement or garage. I played basketball throughout middle school and high school. I got a few offers to continue into college but decided to just go to focus on my studies. This is another sport I still have continued as well. I play at my home or at open courts with friends and my boyfriend.
